 Flying off to England
|
On June 24th, I arrived at Heathrow Airport in London & settled into my flat at the University of Sussex in Brighton. My building is newly built so my room has an en-suite bathroom. En-suite bathroom = no queue for the shower = amazing. The campus is kind of in the middle of nowhere, consequently surrounded by the countryside. Lots of rabbits, squirrels, giant seagulls, & cows roam around. True story: I practically got attacked by a giant seagull the other day. I guess it really wanted my cinnamon roll. Aside from that, I absolutely love it here. Olivia & I don’t want to go home in 9 weeks! If I convince a European to marry me, can I get citizenship? Does it work like that? No? Seriously? I hate you.
Finally got the internet to work, but because it’s the uni’s server, I can’t connect to my FTP server, which means I have to tediously upload each picture instead of batches of it. Too sleepy to upload more pictures. Two albums are all you get for now. Stalk more later.

My Presents to Me
|
Click the image for more pictures. So, I bought myself a Dodocase for my iPad, which is awesome. It fits perfectly & is made really well. Looks like it will definitely protect my iPad. I also purchased a few things from Ideeli: 2 bathing suits & a dress. I promise the bathing suits are adorable; you just have to imagine someone wearing it! I kind of went a little online shopping happy for my birthday, but I swear I’ll be putting all of these items to good use when I study abroad in the UK.
I also finally put up a new layout/theme! It took me way too long to actually make this whole layout work out–the CSS is a grotsky little biotch like always–so I don’t think I’ll be changing it anytime soon. I went from a darker look to a much lighter one. I hope you guys like it! Contact me if you’d like to be listed on my sidebar (send me a 175 by 117 button) & follow me on Bloglovin!

Sephora Brushes & Naked 2 Eyeshadow
|
Click the image to view more pictures. My cousin Carol got me make-up & brushes from Sephora. Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette is absolutely wonderful. It’s nice to have some neutral colors that you can wear every day. Such a great gift! I really appreciate it. If you’re curious as to how I edited the pictures, you can download my action here. It’s Action 10, except in these pictures, I turned off the celadon/robin blue-like filter.
Happy father’s day to all of you fathers out there. I’ll be posting up some more pictures of the gifts I received later. I have plenty of things to do in preparation for my study abroad trip to the UK on the 23rd!
