Bruges, Brighton, & Paris

Kaitlen, Mercedes, & me

Now that I’ve signed a lease for a place in Westwood, I can stop stressing about couch surfing at my brother’s & enjoy the rest of my summer until school begins. Lots of projects I need to finish before school gets out of control though. Not going to bore you with my to-do list, so here are a bunch of pictures from Europe.

Bruges

Bruges is the largest city in Belgium & its capital. The historic centre has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Its medieval buildings have remained intact as you can see throughout the pictures. Along with Amsterdam, it is nicknamed “the Venice of the North” due to its many canals. Bruges!

Brighton

It was the last weekend in Brighton, so Sussex had a farewell dinner. After the dinner, all of us went out to a club, & Genelli & had Indian food the next day before we finished packing to leave. I was off to St. Pancras International Station to take the Eurostar into France to meet up with my relatives for a few days.

Genelli’s & my Indian Dinner

Paris

My French relative took me to Parc de Sceaux for a picnic with his friends. The next day, after traveling around in Paris by myself, I went out to dinner with him & his friends. He & his friend Christian took me to le Tour Eiffel at night. At 12 AM, le Tour Eiffel sparkles!! C’est très jolie!

Wow these are so beautiful! I love the picture of the Eiffel Tower; i have always wanted to go to Paris to see the beautiful architecture and culture =3
That Indian food looks so good! I hope you enjoyed it ^-^
At least you only have to couch surf for a little while; I know people who have been homeless for a year or so at a time and don’t have anywhere to really stay. Good luck with your new place in Westwood and congrats! ^-^

Thanks! I took a million pictures of the Eiffel tower though! You should definitely travel there one day if you get the chance. Europe is tons of fun.

The indian food was actually mehhh. I’m pretty sure the Indian in London was a lot better, but I unfortunately didn’t get to try any…& I was in London at least 4 weekends!!

I actually found a place so no couch surfing for me!! :)

Congrats on getting a place! You can only hope that school doesn’t get too time consuming (but it’s really inevitable, haha.) Glad you enjoyed your trip as well!

I went to Bruges for the day a few years ago. It was a total accident. I was suppose to be going to Germany with the school but due to stormy weather, the ferry crossing was delayed, and in the time allocated we would not have made it to Germany. So we ended up in Bruges.

The weather looks much nicer there than when I went. It rained all day. :( I bought a lot of chocolate while I was there, which soon cheered me up. Your pictures are bringing back lots of memories for me. :)

Aww, I’m glad that my pictures reminded you of the mountains of chocolate you probably bought there! I was really lucky that the weather was so great!! So, even though you didn’t end up in Germany, you ended up in Belgium & well..Bruges is awesome!!

Thanks! France is awesome, although it’s reallllllly hot in the summer. Paris is a must, but I think you should definitely try to visit the countryside.

Really nice pics! Makes me feel like i’m in belgium already :P I’d probably be aweing and ouuing at all the architecture and buildings since they look so different and fascinating compared to the U.S. Looks like a lot of fun and a fresh start. Hope you enjoy it there!

There were definitely some days when I wish I were back home because the Asian food in Europe is either a mild hit or a complete miss. Other than missing my wonderful parents, traveling around Europe & then coming back home makes you feel like everything in the US looks like a 3-year-old designed it! It made me feel frustrated our country doesn’t have cities with such phenomenal breathtakingly aesthetic architecture, but then again, a lot of Europeans come visit NYC & California & absolutely loveeee it. Each country has its own unique perks. :) I definitely missed my campus. UCLA is a lot prettier than Sussex, but I admit that I miss seeing herds of cattle grazing the field behind my dorm!

Hey it’s little Tiffany again with a new site lmfao. I kinda forgot/didn’t want to renew my old domain, but I kind of wanted to blog at times haha.

Your pictures look amazing! I really wish I could take high quality pictures, I really should take a photography class one day. I’ve always been meaning to. Maybe college will be my chance to! I am glad you also found a place to live, I saw some photos on Facebook and you seem happy! It must be so exciting to sign a lease and living on your own. Some of my friends who are upperclassmen had to sign leases for apartments and houses. They were stressing a lot about it too.

I really want to go to France. Hopefully I’ll get to study abroad somewhere in Europe!

I’ll be sure to update your link shortly. :)

Thanks! Well, my pictures are high quality because I have a DSLR & I know how to use it, haha. I have to stress that last part, because I’ve had a lot of people take pictures for my friends & me & they don’t always turn out great. If you take a photography class in college, you’ll learn all about cameras! That’ll definitely be fun.

I’m soooooo happy with my living situation. Signing the lease was pain-free. Looking for an apartment is stressful, but signing the lease…meh. I’ve done it 3 times already, not a big deal. I mean, this is the 3rd year I’ve lived in an apartment for school, so the biggest excitement factor for me is not living on my own (still depend on income from my parents), but living with my new roomies!!! They’re awesome.

You’ll experience it one day too, obviously. Cooking, cleaning, & laundry skills are required, so you better start practicing now!

I hope you get the chance to study abroad too. It’s really a once in a lifetime opportunity.

My relatives were so sweet & accommodating! I can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. So lucky & grateful for them.

Aw your friends are lucky!! I’m jealous!! Because I want to be back there hahaha. Worth every penny, girl! I really hope you can study abroad too. You could always backpack throughout Europe for way less though. Studying abroad was definitely an unforgettable experience. :)

Paris is gorgeous! I’ve never been there but I bet the night view is definitely something a photographer/photography enthusiast would drool over. I think I’d spend a long time taking snapshots if I were to go there :P Lovely photos as always!

It has been a long time since I’ve commented here. Although I’ve been visiting as often as I can.
Yummm Indian food! Tomorrow I’ll ask my mother to cook everything that’s present in these pics. Palak-Paneer is my favourite haha. Oh good gracious I’m feeling hungry upon seeing all those photos and there’s nothing left in kitchen/fridge at the moment. Visiting Tiffany Bee at 11:35 PM is harmful for me haha..

hahah! Aww don’t stress your mom over making you so much food! I’m glad that my pictures do make you hungry though! ’tis my sole intention upon taking food pictures! But then again, sorry you’re hungry & there’s no food in your kitchen! :( Palak Paneer is my favorite too! I need to make it one day. I don’t think I’ve attempted to make anything authentically Indian before.

Jesus christ I’m so late on your posts. >< Better late than never I spose.

I've been to Paris once. And as a fan of sparkles, as soon as I saw Eiffel Tower sparkling, my jaw dropped and I couldn't stop staring it. It's truly one of the beautiful most sparkly sights I've ever laid eyes on! I tried taking a picture of it, but dammit, it didn't pick up the sparkles and now none of my American friends believe me!

Hahhh, girl it’s no big deal! I’m late on yours & everyone else’s toooo. Real life comes first, always. :D OH, IT SPARKLES ALL RIGHT. I have video proooooooof. I should probably upload that during my Spring Break (which is now). You can prove to your friends once & for all that the Eiffel Tower sparkles at night!
