Fall quarter is almost over & I’m only now updating with new albums since September. Finals are just around the corner so I can’t exactly frolic on the weekends like I have been for the past 8 weeks. I’m encountering some major Senioritis & I need help fighting it! I blame Reddit for all of my procrastination problems.
Since I haven’t updated in a few months, I figured I’d just post a series of pictures I just took of the sushi I made. It’s not very aesthetically pleasing, but I’ll get the hang of it eventually.

Normally I’d use my lightbox script for organization, but a lot of people seem to skim the part when I tell them to click the picture to see more. So, now you get to see all the pictures laid out without extra clicking, just more scrolling.

I’ve made sushi countless times, but I was curious to see what the book’s instructions were on how to make sushi rice. Not surprisingly, it was similar to the way I make sushi rice.

Since I don’t have any fish, I figured I’d check out their cucumber recipe. I added a bit of avocado in the roll to give it a creamy texture.

I added a bit of rice seasoning into my rice to give it a bit of flavor. I adorned the dish with hot sesame oil, unagi (eel) sauce, wasabi, & sriracha.

I can’t believe summer is over already! I’ve had an incredibly productive summer from doing research, summer school, 3 trips to Vegas, a weekend in Utah, & getting a new apartment, that I haven’t had very many days of sitting in front of a computer & not doing anything. However, I’ve been quite ill this past week, so I haven’t been able to do all the things I’ve needed to do. Nevertheless, things on my to-do list will get done, eventually. I’ve updated the gallery immensely & I also bought myself a new camera–the Nikon D5100–& I absolutely love it.

I had a to-do list today & I hardly did any of it. I’m quite disappointed in myself, but I’m also glad I got to just relax & do nothing all day after this busy summer. I did manage to update the gallery though, so see for yourself. Tammy’s 21st birthday weekend in Vegas was definitely a success!

Transitioning from eating meat to just seafood isn’t so bad when you’ve got great delicious soy alternatives! They’re about the same price as the real thing or a bit cheaper, so I don’t really buy too much of it & stick with tofu for my protein needs.

A while back, I made Jap Chae, a Korean side dish. Simple, delicious, & easy to make! I’ve also added more albums containing food & explorations of LA.

I have a bunch of other pictures I need to sort through, so these are not the last of my P365! These were from September through October of 2010, so don’t mistake them for being recent. I’ve also updated the gallery yet again. I seem to always forget to upload pictures I take at Kabuki, but they are all up now.
