Seared Tuna from Midori Sushi

Our advisor, Dr. Pao, took Patrick & myself out for AYCE sushi at Midori. I’m almost positive the dinner will keep us hunger-free for 24 hours. In addition, I’ve added two new albums & a Recipes section where I will place all of my recipes. I’ll be able to add more later, there are tons of recipes I’ve been meaning to add!

Thai Stir Fried Tofu

I’ve been a Pescetarian/Flexitarian since late November of last year & I’ve gotten tired of explaining to people that my life is not less enjoyable because I’ve halted my consumption of land animals. I realize it’s kind of difficult to process because you really love spare ribs & Filet Mignon, but it’s not as if I never did. This “diet” of mine has allowed me to explore new recipes that challenge my culinary skills & to savor new flavors!

Two nights ago, I made this delicious tofu dish I found off of AllRecipes.com. It turned out really well & I ate it with brown rice.

Vy & me before EDC!

We’ve been back from Vegas since Sunday night & we can’t wait to go back. I updated the gallery with the pictures from our weekend vacation, which you can find here & here. Here are some highlights from our trip:

• Arriving at EDC at 1:30 AM: saw Tiësto, Steve Angello, Sander van Doorn, & Sub Focus. Sad we missed out on Calvin Harris, Cosmic Gate & Steve Aoki.
• Having a better time at Marquee Day club 4 hours after EDC.
• Getting hit on in hilarious ways.
• Neo, Vy’s brother, proposing to his girlfriend, Mary at Mon Ami Gabi. She said, “yes!”
• Drinking Ciroc for the first time & mistaking it for water.
• Vy chugging the rest of the Ciroc.
• Going to XS nightclub, meeting Italian Canadians with bottle service, & drinking to the point that I threw up & was so tired that David thought I got roofied.
• Waking up at 9 AM to engage in pillow talk with Vy about the night before.
• Waking up without a hangover.
• Going to Encore Beach Club & seeing the same Italian Canadians with bottle service, again.

We. Did. Not. Mess. Around. Vy kicked Vegas in the nuts. I, got owned, but bounced back.

I find it so humorous that you can turn an average looking picture of anything, add a hipstamatic/vintage lighting effect, & an “emotional” quote in Helvetica (it’s a font), then post it on Tumblr, & get a bunch of followers or reposts. So when I for some reason browse someone’s Tumblr & see that they’re actually blogging about their life & not actually posting a random picture, I think, “FACEPALM!”

Try WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, &/or Xanga to blog. Post random images or short quotes/thoughts on Tumblr. Way to fail at being a hipster/16-year-old fangirl.

Regardless, if you steal that picture I posted without crediting, I’LL END YOU.
