Pearl’s 19th Birthday

For Pearl’s 19th birthday, Matt, Jeremy, and I prepared a gourmet prepared meal cooked by me. Matt and Jeremy were great helpers and the dinner was a success!

The Menu

The menu was created by yours truly and 90% prepped by me. Jeremy and Matt were a huge help in making the dinner.

Appetizers

  • Salmon Tartare
  • (raw salmon, avocado, Japanese mayo, and ponzu sauce)

  • Baked Spicy Scallops
  • (baked scallops, spices, Japanese mayo, and mushrooms)

  • Tuna Tartare
  • (raw tuna, avocado, spices, and Japanese mayo)

  • Taquitos and salsa
  • (one guest requested a non-seafood appetizer)

  • Spring Salad
  • (blueberries, red onions, apples, salad toppings, avocado, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, one grilled cherry tomato, almonds and champagne dressing)

  • Caldo Verde Soup

Main Course

  • Chicken Marsala
  • (chicken marsala topped with shitake mushrooms and capers, couscous, risotto, asparagus, nearly-mashed-potatoes, corn, and grilled squash)

Dessert

  • Strawberries and Vanilla
  • (vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and peppermint bark)
