Summer Reading

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Putting my new iPad 2 to good use, I’ve been trying out all sorts of new recipes such as this stuffed bell pepper dish from AllRecipes.com. They turned out to be really tasty.

Summer Reading

Even though I’m really busy this summer, I’ve made it a personal summer goal to read all 5 of these books, which include:

  • A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
  • Genie by Russ Rymer
  • Intern by Sandeep Jauhar
  • The Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan
  • Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz

I’m having one heck of a summer so far.

Food & LA

Eggs over easy, scrambled eggs, spinach salad, & a soy Polish sausage

Transitioning from eating meat to just seafood isn’t so bad when you’ve got great delicious soy alternatives! They’re about the same price as the real thing or a bit cheaper, so I don’t really buy too much of it & stick with tofu for my protein needs.

Jap Chae

A while back, I made Jap Chae, a Korean side dish. Simple, delicious, & easy to make! I’ve also added more albums containing food & explorations of LA.

MOAR PEEKCHUREZ

97-140 of 365

Days 97 through 140 of my failed Project 365. CLICK THE PICTURE to see days 97-140.

I have a bunch of other pictures I need to sort through, so these are not the last of my P365! These were from September through October of 2010, so don’t mistake them for being recent. I’ve also updated the gallery yet again. I seem to always forget to upload pictures I take at Kabuki, but they are all up now.

So Much Sushi!

Seared Tuna from Midori Sushi

Our advisor, Dr. Pao, took Patrick & myself out for AYCE sushi at Midori. I’m almost positive the dinner will keep us hunger-free for 24 hours. In addition, I’ve added two new albums & a Recipes section where I will place all of my recipes. I’ll be able to add more later, there are tons of recipes I’ve been meaning to add!

Thai Stir Fried Tofu

Thai Stir Fried Tofu

I’ve been a Pescetarian/Flexitarian since late November of last year & I’ve gotten tired of explaining to people that my life is not less enjoyable because I’ve halted my consumption of land animals. I realize it’s kind of difficult to process because you really love spare ribs & Filet Mignon, but it’s not as if I never did. This “diet” of mine has allowed me to explore new recipes that challenge my culinary skills & to savor new flavors!

Two nights ago, I made this delicious tofu dish I found off of AllRecipes.com. It turned out really well & I ate it with brown rice.
