Brighton & London

Pad Thai from Nahm

This post features pictures from my latest albums all taken in England in Brighton & London. I had the pleasure of meeting two wonderful bloggers who live in England: Becca of ThisMonster.org & Faye of Bonkers.me. I’ve known both of them for quite some time & it was really exciting to finally meet them after years of friendship. Pictured above is Faye’s plate of Pad Thai. It was her first time trying Thai cuisine at a Michelin star restaurant to boot & said she really liked it!

Brighton

For one of our field trips, we went to a pub called The Mesmerist, which is known for its swing dancing. We were to observe & participate in swing dancing for our assignment. Bodies in motion!

London

I spent another weekend in London with my cousin & his friends. Pretty sure I can thank them for raising my tolerance to alcohol because I certainly spend a lot more money at clubs to even feel anything these days.

Meeting Faye

Nahm, a Thai restaurant in London, was awarded one Michelin star & is the only Thai restaurant in all of Europe to receive a Michelin star. However, I live in Westwood, which is practically 20 minutes away from Thai Town. So how does it compare? The service was impeccable & the restaurant was very pristine. It was probably one of the nicest Thai restaurants I had ever stepped foot in. When it came down to flavor & price? Flop. Take back that one star, Michelin. This restaurant was ill deserving of it. Although I really liked the Mee Krob.

Speed Walking Event

The guys & went over to Buckingham Palace to catch the free viewing of Speed Walking. Quite an interesting sport. Afterward, we went to Poppies for some Fish & Chips.

Brighton

I got to see Becca a few times that week, but I only got to take pictures with her on my camera this one night. I really wish we had taken more together. I miss her & Faye already. Becca visited Brighton with her friend Alisa for a week. This was perfect because I had school in Brighton, so it was really easy for us to meet up!

Up next: pictures from Amsterdam, Bruges, Brighton (again), London (just food pictures), Paris (again…), & Wales! Huge shout out to my twin, Nancy of HopelessThunder.org, for introducing me to the WordPress app for your phone, Jetpack, & nrelate. Totally enhanced my WordPress experience even more!

The Kitchen Bee

Bonjour! I'm a pescetarian food blogger who loves her 3 essential food groups: fruits, vegetables, & sushi. I'm passionate about anthropology & healthcare. I'm a bookworm, cook, gardening bee, shutterbug, soap maker, & an avid tea drinker. You'll find plenty of recipes, food photography, & hopefully thoughtful stories. Some people set up thirst traps, but I set up hunger traps. Read more.
