Gearing up for Game Day & desperately in need for some appetizer ideas? Don’t overthink it, get some avocados & make your guests a creamy guacamole. No need for sports to be on to enjoy this recipe, you can enjoy these whenever, wherever, with whomever. Put it on your salad, tacos, burritos, chili, & everything. I don’t judge if you want slathered all over your sushi. You may be making some deceased sushi chefs roll in their grave, but I certainly understand your love for avocado.

Game Day Guacamole
- Total Time: 10
- Diet: Vegan
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripened avocados, deseeded
- 10 grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 shallots, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jalapeño, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, roughly chopped
- 3 sprigs green onions, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp cayenne
- 1 lime, juiced
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Toss all the ingredients in a food processor & combine until desired consistency. If you’d like a chunkier guacamole, hand mix the avocado with the ingredients.
Notes
- 1 small red onion or half of a large red onion is a great replacement for shallots. Choose the consistency of your guacamole whether you prefer it chunky or silky smooth. If your avocado is hard, don’t even think about using it. Always use ripened avocados to make guacamole. It should be black on the outside & soft on the inside. If you’d like to keep this guacamole fresh longer, quarter a large red onion & spread it across the guacamole in tupperware. The onion keeps the guacamole from browning.
