Need to jumpstart your day with some orange juice, but need more from your juice? Add some extra greens, ginger, & cayenne for the ultimate morning waker upper. Sure to give your tastebuds a little kick, this juice is not only tasty, it’s also ridiculously, yes I said it, ridiculously good for you. You can also strain your juice through a colander or cheesecloth to separate excess pulp for a smooth juice. If you don’t have a juicer, just toss it all in a smoothie. Add a banana for extra creaminess, yum!

Ingredients

- 2 oranges, peeled
- 1 Persian cucumber, peeled if not organic
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 tsp ginger, peeled
- ½ lemon, peeled
- ¼ tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp matcha
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- 1. Bring water to around 75 C & whisk in matcha & cayenne. Set aside & allow to cool.
- 2. Cut produce if using a masticating juicer to about 2″ pieces. Turn your juicer on & juice 1 orange, cucumber, all the spinach, ginger, lemon, & then add the second orange.
- 3. When your tea has cooled, add that through the juicer.
- 4. Stir the juice & strain if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- Pouring water into your juicer helps clean out the juice that’s stuck inside the machine, so rather than wasting the juice, pouring matcha tea through it will sort of clean out the juicer & give you a great tasting juice. Please keep in mind that you should NOT juice the rinds of oranges or lemons unless you enjoy bitter drinks.
