Winter Wishes

  1. “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Coldplay
  2. “Winter Song” by Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michelson (this song might not be there even though it’s one of my favorites; 8Tracks is messing up big time with their strange SoundCloud integration)
  3. “All My Bells Are Ringing” by Lenka
  4. “The Christmas Song” by The Raveonettes
  5. “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Death Cab For Cutie
  6. “She Whispers The Winter Snow” by The Autumns
  7. “The Winter Song” by Eisley
  8. “Driving Home For Christmas” by Chris Rea
  9. “Last Christmas” by Jimmy Eat World
  10. “My Baby Fell For Ol’ St. Nick” by Dada
  11. “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” by Jack Johnson
  12. “Winter Song” by The Head & the Heart
  13. “Little Saint Nick” by The Beach Boys
  14. “White Christmas” by Michael Bublé
  15. “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” by Dean Martin
  16. “Winter Wonderland” by Doris Day
  17. “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt
  18. “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole
  19. “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby
  20. “All I Want For Christmas Is You (So So Def Remix)” by Mariah Carey

Just in time for the festivities, I hope you enjoy this fourth installment of Musical Mondays, which features delightful holiday songs. I tried my very best to curate a mix that incorporates some of my favorite indie holiday songs & absolute classics with a fun ending featuring Mariah. With the exception of “O, Holy Night” by Sleeping At Last, nearly (removed it, oh well) all of these songs will not make you feel as though you’re sitting through a musical sermon on Jesus’s birth. Even if you don’t celebrate any winter holidays, this mix is still great to listen to any time of the year. That’s right, I still blast holiday music in the middle of May because I DO WHAT I WANT. If you’re a fan of the mix, be sure to follow me on 8Tracks & share it with your friends via Facebook or whatever else you kids are using these days.

I wanted to let y’all know that my new layout is almost, just almost ready & I’m very excited for it, but I still have tons of photos to edit–does it ever end??–& lots of things to tweak. Recipes & more gallery postings soon (pffttt but I know about 2 of you actually click through the gallery anyway). Happy Holidays!!

Can’t wait to see the new layout! By the way I emailed you regarding a recipe on your blog, hope to hear back from ya soon. I was thinking of adding you on fb, and just messaging you on there, but would that be creepy? Lol, I have no understanding of what’s creepy anymore.

I’ve never heard that Coldplay cover before! One of the great things about working in theatre at Christmas is the never ending barrage of Christmas songs =] I love this festive playlist! Thanks for sharing =]

Listening to fist track now. I like that Chris Martin kept this classic song simple. Thanks for the music, Tiffany! I wish you a wonderful time during this joyous season.

Me too! I’m glad you took a listen. Hope you have a wonderful time this year too. Will you be returning to Italy for the holidays or are you staying put with your bf?

Nice music list! I love holiday music. 😀 I generally prefer the original (ie: the original Judy Garland’s “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”) piece as opposed to the cover, but I do recognise a greatly done cover when I hear it 😀 But now that Coldplay cover intrigues me!

Nothing beats live Christmas concerts, though! I got to go to a free one two weeks ago, and it was so worth it! Nothing beats a live concert band or orchestra playing away beautiful songs!

Anyway, Happy Christmas to you, Tiffany! You have a fabulous holiday!

I hope you gave it a listen! I love all sorts of holiday covers, but of course the classics are wonderful, which is why I included a few from jazz legends. 🙂 Have a fabulous holiday! I’d love to see a symphony during the holidays one day. Definitely can next year since I live so close to the Boston Symphony!

Do go and see Boston Pops Symphony! http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Festival-Arthur-Fiedler-Boston/dp/B000003EP8 That album as convinced me that they are awesome, so if I were in Boston, I’d definitely try and go to their Christmas concert! 😀

I’m so happy to hear that! 🙂 I’m glad you love my mix. You can also make your own mixes at 8Tracks that you can share with others. I prefer it to Spotify because you can make your own album covers & it’s easier to share (not everyone has spotify) so, it’s fun! Thanks for the compliments. 🙂 Maybe you’ll enjoy my next Musical Monday post!
