Parisian Inspired Pizza & a Trip to Bangkok

February 22, 2016 // Posted in Entrées, Food I Ate, Food I Made, Gallery, Photo Journal, Recipes, Travel

February 22, 2016 | Posted in [post_category]

So, I’m the worst & I really thought I’d be able to edit all of those photos from my trip to Thailand & Vietnam last summer during winter break. I got some of it done, just not all of it. I’m ashamed, but I had other priorities such as allowing Civilization V to ruin my life with my friends. Just one more turn, right? Well, that’s over with. I’m back in Boston, which means it’s about high time I get my act together. Despite having a -9000 presence in the blogosphere this past month, I still got to team up with Vegas.com to make a pizza that was inspired by one of their many hotels. I immediately thought of Paris, only because I really have no idea how I would have time to spray paint neon butterflies & mushrooms to put on a pizza for the Wynn. Since the hotel capitalizes on Parisian culture–or at least what they think is–you’ll easily find French Onion soup & quiche on their menus. This is awkward; I forgot how to blog so I’m just going to cut to the chase: I made a pizza that tastes like the lovechild of a mushroom quiche & French Onion soup. Here’s the part where I make you click a link to stay on my page longer to see my photos. Also, don’t forget to check out resorts in Vegas if you want to spend Spring Break soaking in the heat, day drinking, & pool party life. Wait, that actually sounds really nice right now considering my feet are frozen right now.

A love child between mushroom quiche and French onion soup? Now that’s definitely a Parisian-style pizza! That’s actually really neat combination 😀 Very clever. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever tried quiche yet, but I do love me some French onion soup XD

And woot for your Bangkok photos! All the Thai food photos are making me hungry and craving for some Thai food! Noooom. Thanks for sharing your photos!

My favourite toppings are mushroom, bacon, ham, prosciutto, olives, capers, anchovies, onions, arugula, and basil leaves. Mix and match from those, and I’m good. XD I’m more fond of the Italian-style pizzas. And thinking of pizzas is also making me crave some, too!

What?! Girl, get on that quiche train, no regrets. 🙂

Thank you for your compliments! I’m so glad my photos make you crave Thai food, ’tis the goal! The only kind of pizza you should enjoy is an Italian pizza anyway. 😉 But it’s fun to mix & match flavors.

That’s an interesting take on pizza! I never would have thought to make one that tastes like quiche and French Onion soup. It looks delicious! My favorite toppings are pretty boring. Mushroom and sausage is my favorite combo for a pizza.

I also liked looking at your Thailand photos! The Royal Grand Palace is beautiful. I’m amazed at all the intricate details on the buildings and statues. I liked the photos of the performers on Day 3 too! That looks like a great trip 😀

I don’t think it’s an issue of editing your photos within a time period… just as long as you finish it right??
WOW! It must have been so exciting to be able to team up with vegas to build and craft a pizza. And btw, it looks delicious! I’ve gotten the recipe and it’s on our to-try list next weekend!!

Your trip to Bangkok looks fantastic with lots of food expeditions. Did you go on a cruise down the river? Which place in Bangkok did you enjoy the most? I haven’t gone to Thailand but it is on the list! What about Vietnam? I can’t wait to read all about it!
